Who will campaign for Graham Platner?
Prediction market on manifold. Resolution criteria This market will resolve to "Yes" for each individual listed if, at any point between May 3, 2026, and the date of the 2026 Maine U.S. Senate general election, that person publicly campaigns for or appears at an official campaign event for Graham Platner. For the purpose of this market, "campaigning" is defined as: Making an appearance at a rally or town hall event specifically in support of Platner's campaign. Formally recording a video endorsement or advertisement specifically encouraging a vote for Platner. Traveling to Maine specifically for the purpose of canvassing or appearing with Platner in an official campaign capacity. General statements of party support or generic social media posts mentioning Platner in the context of the party ticket will not be sufficient for a "Yes" resolution unless they meet the criteria above. Eg. Being asked an interview if you support him and responding yes is not enough to resolve yes. This is about campaigning, so for example a reported presence at a closed door fundraiser wouldn’t count. A presence at an event with Platner wouldn’t count, unless it’s about supporting Platner. Eg. If Platner goes to a Convention and people are there, it wouldn’t resolve yes for them. But if the event is about supporting Platner it would. Verification will be based on reports from reputable news outlets (e.g., AP, Reuters, major Maine news organizations like the Portland Press Herald or The Maine Monitor) or official social media channels of the Graham Platner campaign. Background Graham Platner is a Marine Corps veteran, oyster farmer, and progressive political newcomer who is the presumptive Democratic nominee for the 2026 U.S. Senate election in Maine, following the suspension of Maine Governor Janet Mills' campaign in late April 2026. Platner’s campaign has been characterized by economic populism, targeting the influence of "billionaires" and corporate interests in politics. While Platner initially ran as a grassroots challenger to the Democratic establishment, the national party apparatus, including the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), has moved to support his candidacy against incumbent Republican Senator Susan Collins following the consolidation of the Democratic field. Traded options in this market represent political figures who have been mentioned in national discourse regarding the Democratic Party’s 2026 electoral strategy.
