Will any major urban areas be rendered uninhabitable due to wet bulb temperatures by 2050?
Prediction market on manifold. I've been seeing posts on twitter/X lately discussing high "wet-bulb" temperatures. A sufficiently high wet bulb temperature can be very dangerous because the body cannot properly regulate its temperature under those conditions. The main thing I'll be looking for is mass migration out of an urban area - if significant numbers of people are still living there, I won't consider it to have been rendered uninhabitable.
Liquidity: $10,000. Resolves: 1/2/2050.
