Will a publicly accessible UK Ecological Resilience Dashboard cover ≥50% of land with multi-modal weekly data before 2035?
Prediction market on metaculus. [Ecological resilience](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecological_resilience) is the measure of an ecosystem's capacity to absorb and respond to disturbances while maintaining its function and structure. Assessed through a wide range of metrics, accurately measuring resilience requires multi-faceted data collection such as satellite data, ground-based sensors and biological sensors. Although satellite data is relatively comprehensive, ground-based and biological sensor data remains limited in scope, with data typically being disconnected and fragmented. In 2022 the United Kingdom began the [Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment](https://environment.data.gov.uk/natural-capital-ecosystem-assessment/about), which aims to assess England's land, freshwater, and coastal ecosystems by 2029. Although this project seeks to substantially increase the amount of data available, a comprehensive dashboard does not yet exist.
