Over the past year, Claude became popular due to its proficiency in software engineering tasks. Anthropic has stated that it does not plan to make Claude Mythos Preview generally available. Anthropic said that Mythos is capable of finding critical vulnerabilities in major operating systems and web browsers. The UK AI Security Institute reported that Claude Mythos was able to solve a 32-step cyber range called "The Last Ones" 3 out of 10 times, becoming the first model to do so end-to-end.
